For more than 60 years and four generations, we have been running this hotel as a family with joy and passion. Now that everything has to be instagrammable, photoshopping is a big part of our lives – sometimes whole buildings are made to disappear. With us, it’s different. Our place in the heart of the Oberes Drautal valley, surrounded by mountains, is just the way it is … absolutely gorgeous, with a panoramic view over the mountains of the Gailtal Alps and, specifically, our “backyard mountain” Reißkofel. With a height of 2371 metres above sea level, it is the highest mountain in the Reißkofel range which forms the middle part of the 120 km long Gailtal Alps in the west of Carinthia.

The place, the style of the house, the staff, us hosts, and ultimately you, our guests, contribute to the extraordinary atmosphere in our hotel. An exceptionally cosy ambience that helps us achieve our goal: To always put our guests first, to help them get away from it all, to find new strength while relaxing and enjoying themselves, and eventually to return home happy and full of energy. Enjoy the morning sun on your balcony – especially early risers are going to love it. We have either: rooms with a balcony and a view south to the garden, or quiet rooms to the north without a balcony.

Situated in the main house with an elevator, these rooms have a view onto the garden or the mountain panorama to the south, or they face north with a window or balcony overlooking the historic main square of Greifenburg.
Enjoy the morning sun on your balcony – especially early risers are going to love it. You can choose between a balcony with a view to the south or the peace and quiet in one of our rooms facing north.
All of our 52 rooms are equipped with a bathroom with a shower, toilet, TV, Wi-Fi, and a table. Most rooms have a balcony or a patio. All rooms are smoke-free. Wi-Fi access is free for all our guests.
